Cyclists Welcome

We are on the main Sustrans cycle route no 1, the Coast and Castles Route, and almost exactly halfway between Newcastle upon Tyne and Berwick upon Tweed.  The Cycle Northumberland book shows the location of our house as 41 miles from Berwick and 50 miles from Newcastle.  We are therefore a perfect stop for an overnight stay.  

Although we discourage single night stays at week-ends in the main season, we can usually accommodate you in either Rose or Suzie (or both, if there are 4 of you) with their private bathroom.  Have a look at our accommodation page, and when you phone up, tell us you are cyclists.

And if you want to stay longer and do some cycling while you are here, we have a new lady's and a new man's bike for hire, plus helmets.  It will save you bringing your own.

We have clothes drying facilities for those wet days, and bikes are very secure overnight in our Coach House.  There is an outdoor water point for washing bikes, and we have a puncture repair kit.  
Cycle repair services can be brought  to us if you need them.  We have a First Aid kit.

We can provide you with an early breakfast if you need to make an early start, and do a packed lunch for you to take with you.

For your evening meal, we can feed you here or run you along to the local pub for a bar meal or full restaurant meal and collect you again afterwards.

And if you would like to stay longer, there are some very pleasant circular rides you could do, taking in the coast and countryside around Craster.
